چکیده
Objective. To clarify the topographic and anatomical feature of perforating veins (PVs) in proximal part lower extremity. Methods. 70 amputated extremities from patients with severe ischemia were subjected to sectional study; 2800 varicose disease underwent extremity sonography. Results. PVs primarily located on medial surface thigh. In upper third thigh drain into superficial femoral vein. It was detected that one or two occur sin hip draining vein originating great saphenous 73.6% cases. All accompanied by an arterial branch artery. Anatomical study revealed a nervous Two four lateral popliteal fossa could be referred as “atypical” due their rare occurence (0.4% cases at sonography) combination absent typical sapheno-popliteal junction. this area not supported intermuscular septa. drained laterally limb 100% cases, while small leg intersaphenous Conclusion. Duplex ultrasound investigation of the veins in chronic venous disease of the lower limbs--UIP consensus document. Part II. Anatomy.
OBJECTIVES Duplex ultrasound investigation has become the reference standard in assessing the morphology and haemodynamics of the lower limb veins. The project described in this paper was an initiative of the Union Internationale de Phlébologie (UIP), The aim was to obtain a consensus of international experts on the methodology to be used for assessment of anatomy of superficial and perforating...
متن کاملSurgical Anatomy of the Veins of the Lower Limb
With the advent of new surgical techniques, such as subfascial endoscopic perforator surgery, venous anatomy of the lower limb gained distinguished attention. Here, based on our surgical experience and observations on several dissections, we describe the embryology and the gross anatomy of the superficial, deep, and perforating veins. The lesser and greater saphenous veins, their named tributar...

A simple, precise, and consistent anatomical terminology is necessary for evaluating and treating patients with varicose veins. A clear understanding of the anatomy is also very important to correctly diagnose and perform the best treatment for varicose veins. Because the anatomy depicted by ultrasonography has many variations, anatomic definition for at least some of the veins ...

Ulceration of the skin of the lower limb has been recorded as an affliction of the human race since the time of Hippocrates. It is almost certainly the price we pay for having emerged from the ocean and learned to stand erect. 1 The association between ulceration at the ankle and venous disorders of the lower limb has been known for over 2000 years and compression therapy is referred to in the ...
